Grand Valley State University’s School of Communications is hosting local communication professional to speak on political communication.

John Truscott, President and Principal of Truscott Rossman PR Firm and former spokesperson for Governor Engler, will give a speech titled “Political Communication.” The speech will take place on Thursday March 1st, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Grand Valley’s Cook-DeVos Health Science Center, room 119- Hagar Hall. The event is free and open to the public. Free parking for guests is available in the GVSU lot on Lafayette, between Michigan and Crescent.

Truscott’s speech is part of a series of events the School of Communications is sponsoring known as “SOC HOPP”: School of Communications, Hear Other Professors and Professionals. The purpose is to provide more interaction among students, faculty and the community on common communication subjects.
