The Theatre major will be presenting staged readings of nine original plays Thursday, October 24 and Friday, October 25.  The performances will take place at 7 p.m. at the Louis Armstrong Theatre.

Thursday’s performances include, A Whale in Hilton Head by Andrew Wernette, French Fries by Jacob Guajardo, Bus Ride by Chad Marriott, The Hours Before Dawn by Ryan Jackson, and Duncan Bucket by Benjamin Andrus. On Friday, the entirety of Theatron by SoC Associate Professor of Theatre James Bell will be performed.

As a part of the playwriting process, public readings allow the playwrights to work with actors, hear their plays, and gain valuable feedback and insight from an audience. The playwrights will be hosting a discussion session following the readings. Admission is free and everyone is encouraged to attend.
