MV5BMTYzOTA1NzY2Ml5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTcwODAwMjU0OQ@@._V1_SX214_Some would argue that Detroit is Michigan’s hot spot for the film industry but Joseph Scott Anthony says Grand Rapids is where it’s at.  Anthony is a local actor and producer who recently sat down with Mike Nichols of the Grand Rapids Business Journal. He discussed his faith in the Grand Rapids film industry and the film “Burst Theory.”

Anthony starred in and coproduced the film with none other than Zac Page, a 2010 GVSU Film grad.  Prior to this film, Page and Anthony worked on a number of projects together that had fallen through. Page wrote “Burst Theory” after hearing a news story about the bird flu and the pair began creating the film in 2012. The film was shot in 11 days, involved six cast members, and a crew of 25.

Last year, “Burst Theory” was selected out of hundreds of national films to be presented at Film-Com in Nashville. It was also invited to join slated.com. More information about the film is available online.
